Bike to Porchfest

Porchfest is a FREE annual block party in the Patty Jewett neighborhood featuring three bands on three different porches, food trucks, and plenty of activities for kids.

Unlock a PikeRide ebike, ride over, and park at a nearby PikeRide station (or secure your bike to any public bike rack or post within the service area for a $1 convenience parking fee, just make sure you aren’t on private property or blocking any pedestrians or vehicles).

Stellina Community Group Ride: Adaptive-Friendly Route

Join us at Stellina Pizza Cafe in the historic Mid Shooks Run neighborhood for the final community bike ride of the season, starting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15. This ride will feature an adaptive bike-friendly route suitable for recumbents, hand cycles, and other wider bicycles.

Weather can be unpredictable, and rider safety always comes first. If conditions like rain make it unsafe to ride, we’ll reschedule for Tuesday, September 22. Rescheduled events will be announced on our social media, and all riders who have RSVPed will receive an email in the case this ride is rescheduled.

Bring your own personal bike for free, or reserve a PikeRide electric bicycle for $5. All participants must RSVP below.

  • 3:00 - 6:00 PM: Come early for pre-ride dining and sipping

  • 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM: Group ride

  • 7:15 - 9:00 PM: Stick around for post-ride eats, BOGO gelato, and Extended Happy Hour from open to close

Join UpaDowna for the Pedal Party Kickoff, the first of many weekly community bike rides for all levels as we ride off from four rotating locations across Colorado Springs every Thursday from 6 pm - 7:30 pm from June through September 24.

Pre-ride Waiver: Please complete the waiver before your first ride. Here is the link!

Bring a bike or rent a PikeRide for $5. PikeRide riders must be 16 years or older. Rental bikes are limited and must be RSVP’d in advance.

Helmets are required and UpaDowna will provide you with a loaner!

Each ride is about 6-7 miles long depending on the route. This is a community ride, not a race! Meaning there is no drop, and no cycler will get left behind as our Yeti Crew will be there to accompany all cyclists along the way. Routes will be a mix of roads and gravel - think the Pikes Peak Greenway!

Riders will get to enjoy post-ride refreshments with drink and food specials from our host sites: Cerberus Taproom, Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, Goat Patch Brewing @ N. Cascade, & STIR at Wahsatch.

Cost: Pay what you can. At UpaDowna, we pride ourselves on accessibility for the outdoors. We do not want to let cost be a reason you cannot join our community! Check out our Season Pedal Party Pass rates:

Rock 'N' Rope at CityROCK is an all-levels sport climbing competition with a community market and live music. This competition is for everyone! There will be multiple categories for competitors so everyone can find the best fit for their climbing level. This will be an all-day event with live music, a market with local vendors, artists, non-profits including PikeRide, and food and drink available from Commonfork.

Take a PikeRide to the event: Park at our City Hall station, just across the street from CityROCK.

Adult Learn to Ride Clinic - Saturday, September 26th

Join our free Adult Learn-To-Ride Clinic on Saturday, September 26th! This is a welcoming, beginner-focused clinic for adults 18 and up to learn how to ride a bike, learn tips to ensure smooth riding, ask questions, and get connected to resources to continue riding.

Participants will receive on-bike instruction from League of American Bicyclists League Certified instructors Joan and Karl Stang. We will be teaching participants cycling safety, techniques, and bike drills to grow your skills and encourage confident riding.

No bike? No problem. Reserve a bike for $10 when you RSVP.

When: September 26 from 9 AM - noon

Where: Southeast Family Center YMCA (2190 Jet Wing Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80916)

All clinic participants must RSVP below (no walk-ups allowed). This clinic is limited to 15 participants to ensure each rider receives personalized instruction and one-on-one support. Accompanying friends and families are not required to RSVP.

Motorless Mornings at Garden of the Gods

Take a ride through Garden of the Gods without the car traffic! From 5 a.m. to noon on Sunday, October 4, Garden of the Gods Park eliminates motor vehicle access to the park, offering guests a unique experience in the park without cars.

PikeRiders can rent a PikeRide electric-assist bike from any nearby station and ride through the park. To have the best PikeRide experience in the Garden, make sure you ride a bike with a battery level of 87% or higher. We recommend starting your trip through Garden of the Gods with a fresh bike at a Manitou Springs station. See our curated Garden of the Gods Ride Map.

Bike, walk, run, or skate through Garden of the Gods. Without cars, the park’s winding roadways beckon to cyclists and joggers, skaters and dog walkers, offering the chance for a wide variety of user groups to join together, slow down and enjoy the splendor of this wonderful city park.

At noon, the park reopens to motor vehicles.

Enjoy the one-of-a-kind parade, live music, coffin races, and more to ring in spooky season in Historic Downtown Manitou Springs. Ride your bike or a PikeRide to the event, leave it with our bike valet for free, and enjoy all festivities knowing your bike is safe and secure.

Cycling is encouraged! Bring your bike or a PikeRide ebike, get a free drink token for the after party!

Car parking is not permitted in downtown Manitou parking lots or along the streets during this event and cars are asked to be parked at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road to access the shuttle (cost is $5 for everyone 12 and over). The Manitou Springs shuttle will run throughout the event until 6:00 P.M. Shuttle Details.

Free Bike Valet Details:

The bike valet will be on the west side of Memorial Park in Manitou Springs from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Please retrieve your bike before 6:00 P.M. All bikes left with us after 6:00 P.M. will be collected and available for pickup by contacting PikeRide.

Curious about the origins of this quirky celebration? The Emma Crawford Coffin Races began as a Manitou Springs tradition in 1995, honoring Emma Crawford, who was buried atop Red Mountain in 1891. After years of harsh weather, her coffin famously slid down the mountain in 1929, inspiring the annual races that now celebrate her story in Manitou Springs.

Join UpaDowna for the Pedal Party Kickoff, the first of many weekly community bike rides for all levels as we ride off from four rotating locations across Colorado Springs every Thursday from 6 pm - 7:30 pm from June through September 24.

Pre-ride Waiver: Please complete the waiver before your first ride. Here is the link!

Bring a bike or rent a PikeRide for $5. PikeRide riders must be 16 years or older. Rental bikes are limited and must be RSVP’d in advance.

Helmets are required and UpaDowna will provide you with a loaner!

Each ride is about 6-7 miles long depending on the route. This is a community ride, not a race! Meaning there is no drop, and no cycler will get left behind as our Yeti Crew will be there to accompany all cyclists along the way. Routes will be a mix of roads and gravel - think the Pikes Peak Greenway!

Riders will get to enjoy post-ride refreshments with drink and food specials from our host sites: Cerberus Taproom, Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, Goat Patch Brewing @ N. Cascade, & STIR at Wahsatch.

Cost: Pay what you can. At UpaDowna, we pride ourselves on accessibility for the outdoors. We do not want to let cost be a reason you cannot join our community! Check out our Season Pedal Party Pass rates:

  • Recommended Donation Season Pass: $20

  • Pay-it-Forward Season Pass: $25

  • Minimum Donation Season Pass: $15

  • Riders 18 years and under are FREE

  • Need a Bike? Rental bikes are available for a $5 fee at each location thanks to PikeRide. Rental bikes are limited and must be RSVP’d in advance. Please note the minimum age to rent a Pike Ride bike is 16 years of age.

Labor Day Lift Off Bike Valet + Coffee Stand

Join us at the annual Labor Day Lift Off at Memorial Park and take advantage of our bike valet and Kangaroo Coffee stand!

From Saturday, September 5 to Monday, September 7, PikeRide will be providing a secure, convenient, and FREE bike valet for all festival attendees thanks to our generous sponsor, Kangaroo Coffee. Bring your own bike or a PikeRide electric assist bike and enjoy balloon sightings, entertainment, and festivities while saving time and money parking. Ride your bike to the event, and we'll take care of the rest!

Our valet will be available in the MORNING from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday).

Our valet will be available in the EVENING from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday).

Please retrieve your bike before 10:00 a.m. for morning valets and 10:00 p.m. for evening valets. All bikes left with us after closing will be collected and available for pickup by contacting PikeRide.

Join UpaDowna for the Pedal Party Kickoff, the first of many weekly community bike rides for all levels as we ride off from four rotating locations across Colorado Springs every Thursday from 6 pm - 7:30 pm from June through September 24.

Pre-ride Waiver: Please complete the waiver before your first ride. Here is the link!

Bring a bike or rent a PikeRide for $5. PikeRide riders must be 16 years or older. Rental bikes are limited and must be RSVP’d in advance.

Helmets are required and UpaDowna will provide you with a loaner!

Each ride is about 6-7 miles long depending on the route. This is a community ride, not a race! Meaning there is no drop, and no cycler will get left behind as our Yeti Crew will be there to accompany all cyclists along the way. Routes will be a mix of roads and gravel - think the Pikes Peak Greenway!

Early Bird Hike & Bike in Garden of the Gods

Walk or roll through Garden of the Gods without the car traffic! From 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, recreationalists have the opportunity to enjoy the park and its roadways without motor vehicles.

PikeRiders can rent a PikeRide electric-assist bike from the closest station and ride through the park. To have the best PikeRide experience in the Garden, make sure you ride a bike with a battery level of 87% or higher and select a fresh bike in Manitou Springs before entering the garden. Trips cannot be ended in Garden of the Gods. See our curated Garden of the Gods Ride Map.

Without cars, the park’s winding roadways beckon to cyclists, walkers, joggers, and dog walkers, offering the chance for a wide variety of user groups to join together, slow down and enjoy the splendor of this wonderful city park. All normal park rules will be enforced. For safety and per normal park rules, skateboarding and longboards are not allowed.

As always, admission to the park is free.

Stellina Pizza Cafe Community Group Ride

Join us at Stellina Pizza Cafe in the historic Mid Shooks Run neighborhood for a community bike ride starting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11.

Weather can be unpredictable, and rider safety always comes first. If conditions like rain make it unsafe to ride, we’ll reschedule for Tuesday, August 18. Rescheduled events will be announced on our social media, and all riders who have RSVPed will receive an email in the case this ride is rescheduled.

Bring your own personal bike for free, or reserve a PikeRide electric bicycle for $5. All participants must RSVP below.

📅 Event Schedule

  • 3:00 - 6:00 PM: Come early for pre-ride dining and sipping

  • 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM: Group ride

  • 7:15 - 9:00 PM: Stick around for post-ride eats, BOGO gelato, and Extended Happy Hour from open to close

🚲 Group Ride Details

  • Begins and ends at Stellina Pizza Cafe (749 E Willamette Ave)

  • Riders may bring their own bike for free or reserve a PikeRide ebike for $5

  • Helmets encouraged - bring your own or borrow one from PikeRide

  • The ride is approximately one hour long (8 miles), you may ride with the casual, beginner-friendly group or the faster group taking a longer route:

Summer Music Series at Kangaroo Coffee

Join us on Sunday, August 9th from 10 AM - 1 PM for Kangaroo Coffee’s Summer Music Series for live music by The Moldy Figs!

Pedal over to Kangaroo Coffee’s Hillside Coffee House location (with free public bike parking at the on-site PikeRide station) for live music on the patio and sip on an incredible menu of traditional and signature beverages including coffee and espresso offerings, tea and matcha, smoothies, frappes, Roofreshers, energy drinks, and more.

Pair your beverage with a bite to eat with offerings including bagels, breakfast burritos and sandwiches, kolaches, a selection of sweet and savory breads, scones, cookies, and other treats. Or, cool off on the patio with a frozen popsicle and enjoy the music!
