We’re on a Mission To Close the Transportation Gap in Our Community

Bicycles have always been an opportunity towards freedom, from being able to pedal away from home until someone called us for dinner, to riding to classes instead of taking the bus or walking, and getting to work on nice days to improve our health and mood.

A simple, two-wheeled vehicle has been with many of us as a reliable tool as we’ve transitioned from one stage of life to another and has connected us to opportunities.

Yet, for many in our community these options are an impossibility, and opportunities shrink in relation to the amount of time and money spent trying to get to where needed. Jobs can’t be held, mortgages or rent can’t be paid, medical appointments can’t be made, and overall well-being declines and our community suffers.

The convenience of grabbing car keys is often overlooked - until it’s not an option.

Your commitment to our community’s well-being allows us to offer affordable ebike access, maintain and expand our ebike fleet, and advocate for safer, more inclusive streets for all. And importantly, hardworking neighbors without transportation have been given life changing access to opportunities through the simple power of an ebike.

I’m supposed to be moving into my house on the 1st of the month and if it wasn’t for them (PikeRide)... I probably would've gotten fired…

Because I used that bike, and I was on time every day and worked - and worked hard - I’m going to be becoming shift lead at the place I started working.

Your Impact

“WeRide has changed my life and given me more confidence in my future.”

Empowering Opportunity

Transportation is a crucial element for employment, education, medical access, and other necessities. Your contribution ensures that low-income individuals and families have access to reliable and cost-effective mobility, breaking down barriers to success.

Expanding to Underserved Communities

Contributions help support the extension of our service area to Southeast Colorado Springs in 2025. The 2023 El Paso County Community Needs Assessment Report indicated that this area has a history of disinvestment, limited civic representation, and poor transportation nodes and all have some contribution to higher poverty rates and lower life expectancy compared to other parts of Colorado Springs.

Contribute to a Sustainable Future

By providing a green alternative to traditional transportation, over 219,000 trips have been made on our public ebikes. When you support our nonprofit ebike share, you're investing in a healthier future for everyone.

Building an Inclusive and Connected Community

By donating, you support an initiative that prioritizes equity, connecting people within and across neighborhoods and fostering a community where everyone has the freedom to move.

I am so grateful to have a PikeRide station at our Greenway Flats Supportive Housing Apartments. 95% of our residents cannot afford transportation or have conditions that would not allow them to drive, so PikeRide was a huge blessing to our residents.
